Yatra Safety Guidelines

Your Safety is Our Priority

With Shiva Trails, your spiritual journey is backed by expert planning, on-ground support, and proven safety protocols. Traversing remote Himalayan terrain demands preparation, and we ensure every pilgrim travels with peace of mind and adequate support.

Acclimatization & Altitude Awareness

  • The yatra involves elevations over 12,000 feet
  • Our itineraries include acclimatization halts at Gunji
  • We advise slow ascent, hydration, and avoiding alcohol
  • Oxygen cylinders are carried for high-altitude emergencies

Permits & Entry Clearance

  • Inner Line Permits are mandatory for visiting Adi Kailash & Om Parvat
  • Shiva Trails handles complete permit processing
  • Government ID (Aadhar/Passport) is required

Emergency Support

  • We use reliable vehicles suited for mountain terrain
  • Experienced local drivers ensure safe navigation
  • All accommodations are vetted for cleanliness and security

Communication & Network

  • Mobile connectivity is limited after Dharchula
  • We maintain radio/contact through local checkpoints
  • Group movement is always escorted and monitored

Traveler's Checklist for Safety

  • Carry prescribed altitude medication (after consulting your doctor)
  • Keep warm clothes, thermals, and rain protection
  • Inform family/friends about limited phone access
  • Follow guide instructions strictly, especially near border areas
